- Feb. 11, 2011 - The DOL announced the applicability date for the new ERISA section 408(b)(2) fee disclosure regulation is extended from July 16, 2011 to Jan. 1, 2012. The DOL also stated that before July 16, 2010, they will be issuing additional final 408(b)(2) fee disclosure regulations.
- March 3, 2011 - The IRS issued Announcement 2011-21. It designates Form 8955-SSA as the replacement for Schedule SSA. Form 8955-SSA, the Annual Registration Statement Identifying Separate Participants with Deferred Vested Benefits, as the form to be used to satisfy the reporting requirements of Code section 6057(a) for plan years beginning on or after Jan. 1, 2009, and sets forth the due dates for filing Form 8955-SSA for the 2009 plan year and subsequent plan years.
